About
Who is JBS?
JBS is Denmark's
largest and leading underwear manufacturer. We are a family-owned
and family-run company, which maintains its leading position by
focusing on four core values: comfort, quality, innovation and
individuality. Today, JBS is an international company with over 300
employees. Our products are sold in many countries, with Northern
Europe as our primary market.
The letters JBS stand for Jens Bjerg Sørensen, the man who
started the company back in 1939, and who took it to its current
position as Denmark's leading and best-known underwear label. Jens
Bjerg Sørensen was, in many ways, ahead of his time and had an
unusually well-developed flair for marketing and sponsorship. It
all started with the sponsorship of the famous six-day cycle races
in Herning during the 1970s, followed by that of numerous legendary
boxing events, elite football in Ikast and, not least, the football
club FC Midtjylland and the
professional Danish ice-hockey team Herning Blue Fox.
Tradition and innovation
One of JBS's most notable characteristics has always been a
distinct feel for what consumers want - and often before they even
realise themselves that they want it. Every collection contains new
features which are always ahead of the market in terms of
materials, design and comfort. At the same time, a number of our
styles have become undisputed classics over time, still with wide
appeal. Did you know, for example, that our 300 series under the
"Original" product line is completely identical to the very first
series launched by Jens Bjerg Sørensen in 1939?
A special corporate culture
Jens Bjerg Sørensen demonstrated over the years that not only
did he have a flair for developing, producing, marketing and
selling underwear, he was also able to create quite a special
spirit within the company. A unique corporate culture, which means
that many JBS employees celebrate one anniversary after another
with the company.
